Join your fellow Florida social media fans and colleagues on the set of Extreme Makeover Home Edition for a day of charity and social learning. We’re bringing the Florida Social Media community together to support this great cause!
No lectures here, but we have some amazing people who want to talk with you about the great things going on with Social Media, Extreme Makeover, and the revolution in the home building world. This is the closest you will get to the build without having to pick up a shovel, so bring your cameras, Flip Cams, Smartphones, voice recorders to document the day. There will be plenty of interesting people to meet and interview for your blog or website!
Some of the highlights of the night include:
Behind the Scenes:
Take exclusive guided tours of the production set for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, LIVE while they build!
Moving the bus:
Cast and crew of ABC’s Extreme Makeover – It takes a lot to build a great home, but it takes even more to build a great home in one week, with all materials and labor donated, while tryin to capture every heart-warming second of the process…learn from Show producers, Ty, Tracy, Page and more about just what goes into every episode in front and behind the camera.
What is the future of green building?
Kevin Schleith from Home Audit Technologies (formerly of the Florida Solar Energy Center) will talk about the latest building technologies and processes that are the future of home building, as well as the unique make up of this specific home!
Transparency in social media: good, bad, or indifferent?
Dana Pepa and Elena Perel of honkfish will be on hand to answer questions you might have about Social Media for small businesses.
If you need lodging, we recommend the Hilton Oceanside at Cocoa Beach. In lieu of a attendance fee, we ask that you donate to the family build fund that will be presented to our family on reveal day.We would like to thank Get Social Brevard, Daytona Beach Tweetup, Benedict Advertising, ABC and LifeStyle Homes for making the night possible.
